Gareth has over 20 years of industrial experience, working in the industry since 2004, all of which has been in the environment of high-tech R&D and start ups. He is a dynamic and driven business leader, with a passion for marine renewables. Gareth is a qualified mechanical engineer with an MEng in Marine Renewables and a PhD from Swansea University. He is a co-founder of Marine Power Systems and has achieved significant grant funding and private investment since its inception in order to deliver the company’s development pathway. As CEO, he has overseen MPS through the feasibility, proof of concept, medium scale prototype development stages and now working at grid-connect megawatt-scale ahead of commercialisation.  Gareth has overall responsibility for the management of MPS as well as Shareholder and Stakeholder engagement.

Graham has over 20 years industrial experience, 15 of which has been spent leading high value & high-tech R&D, and for the last 10 years he has been a founder / director of fast-moving technology start-up companies. Graham is a qualified mechanical engineer and gained a PhD from Swansea University. He is a co-founder of Marine Power Systems and has a track record of financing high value start-up companies having raised multi-million grant and venture funding to date. Graham has a unique ability to create elegant solutions to highly challenging problems, creating sector leading IP in the process. Graham is the CTO of the company and has overall responsibility for our product portfolio of marine energy generation extraction hardware, the associated development strategy and managing IP.

Martin has over 20 years’ energy experience in industrial technology and engineering consultancy. He brings a track record of applying innovation to deliver complex international projects and business growth in the offshore energy sector. Martin has overall responsibility for developing the commercial team and driving the commercialisation strategy across our product portfolio.

Steve has over 25 years operational management experience across a wide range of engineering and software development roles; building strong relationships with client stakeholders and managing end to end delivery across multidisciplinary teams. Steve has overall responsibility for developing the operations team and delivering our products from order through to handover to the end customer.

Justin brings a wealth of business experience to MPS. A  successful dot.com entrepreneur, he is currently CEO of multiple businesses in the Property and Software sector. Justin has an Engineering degree from Imperial College, London and an MEng from Cape Town University. He has a passion for clean-tech assists in forming the strategic approach of the business and private investment opportunities.

Andrew is a Chartered Electrical Engineer and brings over 25 years of experience in the energy & utilities sector.  Andrew has had a successful career working across various technical, project management, commercial and leadership roles in corporates and start-up companies. Andrew provides MPS with advice on business development, commercial structures, energy markets and investor relationships.

Sue brings nearly 20 years of experience in the marine energy sector to the MPS board. In addition to a career in technology development, Sue has high level expertise across government policy and provides MPS with advice on revenue support, business development, project planning and market intelligence.

A qualified Chartered Accountant from a big 4 firm with over 12 years industry experience in global, high growth technology companies.  Experienced in managing M&A activities and funding requirements, in addition to instigating change and adding value through making key business decisions.

Will is a Chartered Accountant with 8 years’ combined experience in practice (PwC qualified) and in industry within the marine renewables sector.  He has responsibility for all financial management.

Anthony brings over 30 years of global business development experience built on understanding customer needs and delivering solutions that meet those needs. He is responsible for developing key client relationships and market engagement.

Alex brings over 15 years’ industrial experience, all in high-tech R&D and design management. Has responsibility for managing the design processes and information.

John brings over 17 years’ experience in marine renewables (academia and industry) with experience in several high-tech start-ups.  Has responsibility for technical system development.

Nikki-Ann brings extensive industry experience in fabrication, heavy machining and offshore engineering to deliver strict H&S, environmental and quality standards in line with business strategy.

Madeline brings over 30 years of project management experience across marine, offshore and onshore renewables. A chartered engineer and experienced team leader, she has overall responsibility for delivering specific projects.

David brings over 35 years offshore engineering experience across oil and gas and marine renewables. He has overall responsibility for delivering specific projects.
